Runners rejoice! The world’s biggest running community has sprinted into Manila.

Enter  Nike+ Run Club (NRC). Whether you’re a budding running enthusiast, a seasoned marathoner, or a professional athlete –  this bi-weekly training club will bring you closer to your #goals. It’s also an enjoyable way to meet new, like-minded members of the running community here in Manila!

With the aim to inspire more runners to join, the NRC will hold training sessions every Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Nike Park located at 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, led by NRC coaches Rio dela Cruz, Ian Banzon, and Ico Ejercito. The club is open to both men and women.

The club welcomed the first day of March with their first session outside Nike Part at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City. Coaches and ‘pacers’ –  who include college track athletes – led about a hundred participants in a series of intense and invigorating drills, jogs and sprints.

If you’re worried about not being “fit” enough, fret not because the club is inclusive to all. The sessions are designed and divided up for first-time runners, daily runners, and race-day competitors alike, according to Nike Philippines’ Marketing Manager Patrick Reyes.

What to Bring

All you need to bring are your running gear and genuine willpower, and the NRC will take cake of the rest. Coaches, pacers and co-runners will be there to not only run alongside you, but also instil tips to improve your pace and mileage, share words of encouragement and even push you never to give up, since after all – you will be better for it.

To secure a slot for the upcoming sessions, register for free through this link.

If you’re joining the highly-anticipated Women’s Half Marathon this May, you and your running buddy are encouraged to join NRC, in preparation for the first-ever all-female Nike half marathon in the Philippines.

Kudos to Nike for helping to spearhead the female fitness movement in Manila!
